Dedicated to true love and the art of music, a Punjabi telefilm, ‘Amar Preet’, based on Indo-Pak friendship was released on Thursday at Vrijesh Bhawan, Nabha.

Major Adarsh Pal Singh, the great grandson of renowned Punjabi scholar Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha, performed the releasing ceremony.

Made under the banner of “Simrat Music” by Kuljit Canada, the movie is directed by Ravinder Ravi Samana. It is produced by Dr Jagmail Bhathuan and the music is composed by Dr Ravinder Kaur Ravi from Punjabi University, Patiala.

The main characters of the film include some senior and famous names of Mumbai Film City - Rajinder Jaspal, Iqbal Gajjan, Ramaa Komal, Ravinder Ravi, Pawandeep Johal, Bala Harvinder, Ragini Sharma Santosh, Makhan Mandor, Harjit Jassal and Baby Harnoor.

The choreography is by Laaj Patrhan and cameramen are Vicki Bhwanigarh and Rajesh Kumar. Screening of the film was also done on the occasion before release.

Appreciating the venture, Major AP Singh said: “There is a dire need of such films on classical and meaningful subjects, which convey the message of peace, friendship and brotherhood of Indo-Pak relations to our society”.

Present on the occasion were senior artist Rajender Jaspal, Assistant Professor Dr. Ravinder Kaur Ravi from Punjabi University, Patiala, Shiromani Kavi - Darshan Singh Buttar, Ravinder Ravi Samana, Dr Jagmail Bhathuan among others.
