Allow pass holders to travel by express trains: Sangh

A delegation of the Dainik Rail Yatri Sangh, led by the state BJP vice-president Rajv Jain, today met Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu at the Rail Bhawan and raised their demands.

The demands included allowing monthly pass holders to travel by mail and express trains, increase in number of coaches in passenger trains, stoppage of express trains, including Shan-e-Punjab, at the Sonepat railway station, construction of foot overbridges, toilet facilities at platform no. 2 and 3, starting a new EMU train between Panipat and Delhi, and initiating the process of construction of a rail coach factory announced two years ago. — OC
