Overwhelmed by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, the Uttarakhand unit of AAP today appealed to workers of the party to come forward and prepare for the 2017 Assembly elections in the state against the corrupt and mafia politics of the BJP and the Congress.

In a statement issued here today, AAP Uttarakhand convener Shamshar Singh Bisht said the party victory in Delhi elections was the result of hard work of the party workers who came from all parts of the country to oust corrupt politics of the BJP and the Congress. “The BJP-led government came to power nine months back with the help of corporate houses. The common man in the country is fed up with their politics and wants basic amenities within their reach,” said Bisht.

He appealed to party workers to prepare for 2017 Assembly elections to end the looting culture of the BJP and the Congress, who had robbed the state not only of its natural resources but also of money given by the Central Government under various heads to be spent on the welfare of common man who is still deprived of development even after Independence and after getting statehood.
