AAP vows to return surplus BBMB land

NANGAL: Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Anandpur Sahib Sanjiv Gautam has announced that after coming to power the land belonging to the Bhakra Beas Management Board lying unused will be returned to original owners.

Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Anandpur Sahib Sanjiv Gautam has announced that after coming to power the land belonging to the Bhakra Beas Management Board lying unused will be returned to original owners.

Addressing a press conference, he said the land was acquired to construct the Bhakra Dam five decades ago and still a big portion of it was lying unused till now. He said it was a long pending demand of the land owners and at least 700 families would be benefitted.

Revealing the party roadmap for the constituency, Gautam further said the Nangal Municipal Council was one of the richest civic bodies in the state and funds from here were being used for development works in other parts of state.

He said it would be ensured that the money belonging to the local civic body was used for the welfare of local residents only.
