Chandigarh, December 10

Putting a lid on all speculation, the Aam Aadmi Party has fielded its state convener Gurpreet Singh Waraich (Ghuggi) from the Batala constituency. There had earlier been talk of the possibility of Ghuggi being pitted against Cabinet Minister Bikram Singh Majithia. But sources said Ghuggi had “all along” been reluctant to fight Majithia on the latter’s home turf.
