Chandigarh, September 26

Differences have cropped up in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on handling suspended MP Dr Dharamvira Gandhi, his call of forming a grand regional party and on the inclusion of former Akali MLA Pargat Singh in the party.

While senior leader HS Phoolka today said AAP should support Gandhi’s call and added he and former Akali MLA Pargat Singh were good persons, the co-incharge of the political affairs of the party dismissed the chance of any alliance with Gandhi and his supporters in the fourth front.

Phoolka told reporters that both Dr Gandhi and Pargat Singh were well-meaning persons and there was no harm in taking their support. However, Jarnail Singh — in a separate press conference — here today categorically declined any such possibility.

“Dr Gandhi has no locus-standi to form any other front or party without leaving AAP. He has to resign from the party first and then go further. There is no move to induct any other leader of the fourth front also,” he said.

Jarnail Singh said from September 28, the birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh, AAP would start an ‘Insaf March’ throughout the state.
