AAI teams win badminton titles

DEHRADUN: Players of Airport Authority of India (AAI) won the finals of both men’s and women’s singles, and men’s and women’s doubles in the All-India Inter Institutional Badminton Tournament played at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex at Parade Ground here on Friday.

Players of Airport Authority of India (AAI) won the finals of both men’s and women’s singles, and men’s and women’s doubles in the All-India Inter Institutional Badminton Tournament played at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex at Parade Ground here on Friday.

In the men’s singles final, Kaushal (AAI) beat Pratul Joshi (AAI) 21-11, 21-17; while in the women’s singles final, Rasika Raje (AAI) beat JK Malvika (AAI) 21-14, 21-11. In the men’s doubles final, Chirag Shetty and Kaushal (AAI) beat Alwin and Mayank (FCI) 21-15, 22-24, 21-15 while in the women’s doubles final, JK Malvika and Prajakta (AAI) beat Linimol and Varada (LIC) 21-18, 21-14.
