He hasn’t read Ernest Hemingway, and neither has this Punjabi singer Gurinder Rai any idea about the American novelist’s take on trust. According to Hemingway the best way to find out if you trust somebody is to trust them! Nevertheless, this is what Gurinder believes in, and has put it in practice as well. This modest young man has secured all his faith and trust in his friend, brother, family in Badshah, the Bollywood rapper and singer.

As Gurinder hits the music scene yet again with his track, Pitbull, along with Badshah, the singer tells us why he isn’t bothered about his moves in his career, and what makes Badshah a special entity in his life and career!

Pitbull, the single has already touched 34 lakh views on Youtube and increasing with each passing day. The track, a more R& B style, has altered Gurinder’s image as a singer. You can see him shake a leg in the video, a mention of which makes him grin ear-to-ear. “From the conceptualisation of the track to the execution, Badshah bhaji has been involved with this single from day one, and I trust that whatever he does, would be the best,” shares Gurinder, who is open to working with other music directors too, but there is a big ‘but’ in between.

“Singing is my passion, now if you come across someone who does not only encourage your passion, but also shares the same vibes, work becomes interesting. With Badshah bhaji, I share the same rapport, it’s totally like the at home feeling. Well… he is family,” adds the singer from Ludhiana, who will also be making his debut in a Punjabi film soon, “It just happened, I wasn’t even sure whether I would act in it or not, but somehow I did,” he breaks into a throaty laughter, “I can’t believe I have acted in a film,” Gurinder continues to laugh.

Gurinder can actually sit back and laugh with his track being touted as a huge hit. “Not only this track, I have left all my songs to Badshah, he has the experience, and he knows what is best for me. I trust him, I know this is not a trustworthy industry, but main tan yakeen karda han, yakeen tey…”, Gurinder adds in chaste Punjabi.
