Post of Chief Medical Officer to be filled up

A meeting of the Primary Health Committee of the Municipal Corporation (MC) was held today. The meeting decided that the post of Chief Medical Officer would be filled up to manage civil dispensaries falling under the jurisdiction of the MC.

It was also decided that doctors should be deputed at the civil dispensaries.

The committee members also resolved that provisions will be made for the setting-up of labs in dispensaries and posts of lab technicians will be created.

Free medical checkup camps will also be organised regularly in all dispensaries such as dental, blood sugar, eye and general examination.

The committee also decided that the stock of medicines should be maintained properly and duly intimated to the committee in the next meeting.

Free services for the MC employees will also be arranged in the civil dispensaries and special medical cards would be made to all the MC employees.
