Jammu, January 5

A team of seven artistes of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Jammu, left today for Bengaluru to participate in the 14th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in which representatives of 30 million Non-resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) from across the world will participate.

The team is being headed by the regional director of the ICCR, Jammu, Balwant Thakur, who has conceptualised and designed the presentation, ‘Celebrating Diversity’, to be presented in the honour of the Prime Minister of India on January 8.

Terming this as a great honour for the ICCR, Balwant Thakur said all this had been possible because of their constant efforts to achieve high levels of professional standards which matched with the international standards.

Recently, the ICCR, Jammu, mesmerised thousands at the Trafalgar Square, London, and now, it would be yet another accomplishment for the organisation to perform before the Prime Minister of India, Thakur said.
