7,173 clear police recruitment test

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Police today stated 7,173 aspirants had cleared the recruitment test for constables in the district police and armed police cadres.

The Punjab Police today stated 7,173 aspirants had cleared the recruitment test for constables in the district police and armed police cadres.

Out of these, 3,556 are male candidates for the district police cadre, 1,116 female candidates for the district police cadre and 2,501 male candidates for the armed police cadre. The result has been uploaded on the official website of the Punjab Police — www.punjabpolice.gov.in.

The successful candidates have also been informed via SMS and email. They have been asked to report from October 27 at the districts allocated to them in case of district police cadre and battalion headquarters in case of the armed police cadre for a preliminary scrutiny of certificates, mark-sheets and other documents.

Thereafter, their medical examination will be conducted and character and antecedent checks will be carried out.

Those candidates who clear these checks will then join the Police Department provisionally as constables.

Their training course is expected to begin from November 15 at different training centres.
