The victim, Ram Avtar, left his house for the fields in the evening and allegedly hung himself from a tree. Sources in the family revealed that the farmer had taken loans from State Bank of Indian and Bank of Baroda and was now under huge debt.

The aggrieved farmer owned 2.5 acres of agricultural land. Ram Avtar was under tension as he was unable to repay bank loans due to heavy agricultural losses. The victim leaves behind seven daughters and a son.
