432 students get degrees at RGC

With confident smiles on face, a large number of students received degrees at the annual convocation ceremony organised at Ramgarhia Girls College. Dr S P Singh, former Vice Chancellor of GNDU, Amritsar, graced the occasion as chief guest and Prof Gurbhajan Gill, a renowned Punjabi writer, as guest of honour.

The event commenced with a prayer to the Almighty . Thereafter, the chief guest conferred degrees on 432 students and roll of honour was awarded to 10 students who had performed brilliantly in academics, cultural activities and sports. The chief guest congratulated the students on their achievements.

He said, “Though you have achieved a milestone, many others yet remain to be achieved. Always bear in mind that for those who have the confidence to venture into the world of immense possibilities and challenges, only sky is the limit.”

Old students reunited

A get-together for old students was organised by the Alumni Association of Ramgarhia Girls College on their premises on Tuesday.

It was a much-awaited event for ex-students to catch-up with old friends, and to meet their teachers. Principal Inderjit Kaur, President of the Association, accorded a warm welcome to all the members. She said the alumni of the college can contribute in a big way.
