4 women among seven booked for murder

YAMUNANAGAR: Seven persons, including four women, of Yasin Majra village, were today booked for poisoning a minor girl of the village.

Seven persons, including four women, of Yasin Majra village, were today booked for poisoning a minor girl of the village. SHO Chandra Prakash said Krishna, Gurmeeto, Kamlesh, Rajni, Amarnath, Somnath and Ram Lal had been booked under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC. He said they were yet to be arrested.

Pawan Kumar, victim’s father, told the police that he and his wife had gone out yesterday and Sangeeta was alone at home. They got information that their neighbours — Krishna, Gurmeeto, Kamlesh, Rajni and some others — beat up their daughter at their home and administered her some poisonous substance. He said she was taken to the community health centre, Sadhaura, then to Yamunanagar’s trauma centre. She later died enroute to PGI,Chandigarh. —TNS
