4 of Sonepat family killed in mishap

Jaipur, January 4

Four members of a Sonepat family were killed and one was injured when the car they were travelling in collided with a dumper at Malakhelara in Alwar district, Rajasthan, last night.

They were going to Sonepat from Mehandipur Balaji Temple in Dausa district.

The deceased had been identified as Aditya (25), Anil (28), Rajwanti (25) and Dhanvanti (65), said Investigating Officer Arun Singh of the Malakhera police station.

Veena Devi (25) sustained injuries and was admitted to the Alwar Government Hospital.

2 killed as truck hits auto

Karnal: Raj Kumar (32) of Jalandhar and Pardeep (40) of Nilokheri were killed as the auto they were travelling in was hit by a truck near Chirao village this morning. The truck driver fled the spot, leaving his vehicle.

The police said as Raj Kumar had to go to Assandh to unload his auto, he took along his relative Pardeep from Nilokheri . When they reached near Chirao village, a truck coming from the opposite direction hit the auto, said Parteek Kumar, SHO, Sadar. The truck driver has been booked. — OC/TNS
