4 killed, 5 hurt in road mishap

DEHRADUN: Four passengers were killed while five were critically injured in a head-on collision took place between an SUV and a truck on Sunday night.

Four passengers were killed while five were critically injured in a head-on collision took place between an SUV and a truck on Sunday night. The bodies have been sent for autopsy and injured were admitted to government hospital.

According to information, the locals called the police after they saw an accident on the Rishikesh-Haridwar highway at Raiwala. A team of policemen immediately reached the spot and admitted injured passengers to the hospital. Out of the nine, four passengers were declared brought dead.

The deceased have been identified as Mukesh Joshi, Manmohan Mehra, Mohan and Dharamveer. The injured passengers have been identified as Mukesh, Bhupinder, Vikas Kumar, Sandeep and Vikas. A case has been registered.
