A 30-year-old from Taran Taaran died of swine flu at the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital here today.

The patient was diagnosed of swine flu five days ago and doctors at the hospital had shifted him to an isolated ward.

“The Taran Taaran Health Department has been alerted and all the contacts of the patient have been administered tamiflu tablets as a precautionary measure. The Taran Taran Health department will be track the record of the patient to know the origin of the virus,” said Dr Ramesh, district epidemiologist, Ludhiana.
