Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said today that the state government had earmarked over 3,000 colonies for regularisation to ensure basic amenities to them.

Khattar was addressing a gathering during the ‘Vikas Rally’ organised by Rewari MLA Randhir Kaprivaas at the new grain market here last evening.

Referring to railway projects, the Chief Minister said the Ministry of Railways and the state government would jointly chalk out a railway project to ensure their speedy execution. Earlier, the Ministry of Railways alone used to plan all projects that resulted in delay in execution.

Accepting the long pending demand of a rail underpass at the Rewari and Kosli railway stations, Khattar said a huge amount had been approved for the construction of railway overbridges and underbridges across the state. Rs 20 crore would spent on a rail underpass in Rewari, he said.

“Secretariats will be set up in villages and panchayats will donate at least half acre of land for the purpose,” said Khattar.

He also announced that all districts would have all-woman police stations. Moreover, recruitment of 500 women constables would also be made to efficiently run these police stations.
