2 vehicles, same registration number

A student of a Landran private college was booked for allegedly using the same registration number plate for his two vehicles. 

The police said accused Jagandeep Singh, a resident of Sector 38 (West), has been using the same registration number (PB-05AB-7070) on his Audi car and Mahindra Thar jeep. The accused is the son of a farmer in Ludhiana. The police acted after receiving a complaint against him.

During the police investigation it was found that number (PB-05AB-7070) was registered for his Thar jeep, but he also used the same name for his Audi car. A case under Section 472 of the IPC has been registered at the Maloya police station.

Two vehicles found with fake numbers

Two other similar cases were reported from the city. A motorcycle of Satnam Singh, a resident of Phase XI, Mohali, was found parked at Sector 47 with fake registration number PB-65-AA-4985. While Hansa Singh, a resident of Mohali, was found using fake number plate PB-65Z-3551 on his Platina motorcycle and was arrested near Dhanas on Friday. Cases under Sections 473 of the IPC have been registered at the Sector 31 police station, and Sarangpur station, respectively.
