2 men were outside jewellery store when robbers struck

When robbers struck at Forever Diamonds in Sector 17, two men were present outside the jewellery store and are suspected to be the accomplices of the three robbers. The men, who tried to enter the store, were captured in a CCTV camera. They left the place after sometime.

The police investigations into the daylight robbery at gunpoint on May 1 have revealed that two men had come outside the jewellery store while the three robbers were inside it.

Sources said the CCTV footage procured by the police showed two men standing outside the jewellery store and looking inside. The suspects then went towards the corner of the corridor and again walked back towards the showroom. 

The duo later stood on the road opposite the showroom for some time and then left the spot. 

The sources said the police were not ruling out the possibility of the two men being accomplices of the robbers “who were trying to ensure that nothing goes wrong”. 

The sources said the CCTV footage of various  points revealed that the three robbers, including a woman, all believed to be in their mid-twenties, walked a long distance after committing the crime. “After leaving the jewellery store, the robbers walked through a parking lot on the rear side and came to the road from where they walked towards Madhya Marg,” said the sources.  The police are exploring various angles. The sources said the store owners could be questioned again.
