The police yesterday arrested two persons, residents of Old Kangra, and recovered charas from their possession at Kangra bypass. The vehicle used for the crime has been impounded.

The police said during the routine traffic checking at the Kangra bypass yesterday the police arrested Vishal Kumar (28), son of Narottam Datt, and Neeraj Guleri (28), son of Deep Chand, both residents of Old Kangra, and recovered 136 grams of charas from their possession.

The duo was coming in a car (HP-19-B 3009) from Tanda towards Old Kangra when they were intercepted by the police. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act. — OC
