2 held for illegal liquor trade

Kangra police have arrested two persons for indulging in illegal liquor trade and recovered 42,750 ml country liquor from their possession. The car used in the crime at Patialkar and Hatwas falling under Nagrota Bagwan police station has been impounded, police said here today.

As much as 36,000 ml country liquor was recovered from a car (HP-37-D-2985) of Manoj Kumar at Patialkar late yesterday. Police have registered a case under section 39(A) HP Excise Act in this regard.

In another case, 6,750 ml country liquor was recovered at Hatwas falling under Nagrota Bagwan police station from Swaroop Chand, a resident of Hatwas. A case under section 39 HP Excise Act has been registered.
