Nurpur, June 12

The Jawali police booked Surinder Singh and his son Pritam Singh, residents of Sohara village, under Section 420 of the IPC last evening, following a complaint by Joginder Singh of the same village.

The complainant has stated that he and Munshi Ram, the father of one of the accused, Surinder Singh, had a share in their ancestral land at Lohara village.

He said after the demise of Munshi Ram, Surinder Singh and his grandson Pritam Singh sold his share by forging documents.

Officials of the Revenue Department didn’t even call him before the mutation of the land deed, he alleged.

Jawali DSP DC Verma said the police had registered a forgery case against the two accused. — OC
