2 bikers killed in accidents

LALRU: Two bikers were killed while two others sustained injuries in separate road accidents late last night. The deceased have been identified as Pankaj Goswami and Naresh.

Two bikers were killed while two others sustained injuries in separate road accidents late last night. The deceased have been identified as Pankaj Goswami and Naresh.

According to police sources, a car and a motorcycle collided near Dehar village, resulting in the death of 52-year-old Naresh, alias Kala. His son, Neeraj, who was riding pillion on the motorcycle, reportedly sustained injuries in the accident.

“Naresh died on the spot,” said the police.

In the second incident, Pankaj was killed when his motorcycle was allegedly hit by a truck on the Lalru-Handesera stretch near the ITI last night.

According to the police, the incident occurred around 7 pm when the victim, along with his associate, Sushil, was on the way to his workplace.

As soon as the victims reached the ITI near Lalru, a truck coming from the opposite direction hit their motorcycle, resulting in the death of Pankaj on the spot. Sushil sustained injuries and was taken to the GMCH, Sector 32, Chandigarh. Cases have been registered against the car and truck drivers.
