2 ADGPs get Prez’s Police Medal

CHANDIGARH: Two Additional Director Generals of Police (ADGPs) in the state will be awarded President’s Police Medal for their distinguished service, while 12 police personnel, including three Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), an Inspector, three Sub-Inspectors (SIs), four Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) and a head constable, will be given Police Medal for their meritorious service on the Republic Day tomorrow.

Two Additional Director Generals of Police (ADGPs) in the state will be awarded President’s Police Medal for their distinguished service, while 12 police personnel, including three Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), an Inspector, three Sub-Inspectors (SIs), four Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) and a head constable, will be given Police Medal for their meritorious service on the Republic Day tomorrow.

A spokesman of the Haryana Police here today said Sudhir Chowdhary, ADGP (Prisons), Panchkula, and Shatrujeet Singh Kapoor, ADGP (CID), Panchkula, had been awarded President’s Police Medal for distinguished service.

He said the 12 other police personnel, who have been awarded Police Medal, include Ramesh Pal, Assistant Commissioner of Police/DLF, Gurgaon, Udai Raj Singh Tanwar, DSP, CID, Chandigarh, Balwan Singh, DSP, 2nd India Reserve Battalion, Bhondsi, Gurgaon, Anup Singh, Inspector, Office of Inspector General of Police, Rohtak, Baldev Krishan, SI, CID, Haryana and Satyabir Singh, SI, CID Unit, Hisar. Similarly, Pushpinder Pal, Exemptee SI, Panchkula, Jasbir Singh, ASI, Chandigarh, Bhagirath, EASI, Panchkula, Ravinder Kumar, EASI, Panchkula, Bhagwan Dass, EASI, Panchkula and Inderdeep Singh, EHC, Yamunanagar, had also been honoured with Police Medals, he added.
