18 injured as school bus overturns near Sangrur

SANGRUR: Fourteen students of a local private school and four teachers suffered injuries when the bus they were travelling in overturned near their school on the Thalesa road in this afternoon.

Fourteen students of a local private school and four teachers suffered injuries when the bus they were travelling in overturned near their school on the Thalesa road in this afternoon.

They were going home at the time of the incident. All students were discharged after treatment while two teachers are still under treatment.

As per information, driver Karnail Singh lost control over the bus at a short distance from the school and it overturned.

Some passerbys informed the school authorities and all injured were admitted to Singla Surgical Hospital.

“All are out of danger. We have discharged 16 persons, including 14 students. Two teachers are still under treatment but they would be discharged in the evening,” said Dr KG Singla, owner of the hospital.
