14,000 to count votes at 54 centres

CHANDIGARH: State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) VK Singh said here today that all arrangements had been made across the state for the counting of votes on Saturday.

State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) VK Singh said here today that all arrangements had been made across the state for the counting of votes on Saturday.

He said 54 counting centres had been established at 27 locations, where the counting would start at 8 am.

He added that more than 14,000 staffers had been deputed at the centres.

The CEO said TV screens would be installed at district election offices, major public places and malls, where result updates would be shown.
