Victims demand action against firm

After allegedly being cheated of several lakhs of rupees by an immigration company, more than 20 persons today protested in front of the office of the Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police in Phase I here.

The victims, including Kaka Singh, Manpreet Singh, Hardeep Singh and Balraj Singh, said officials of a Balongi-based immigration company, Global Enterprises, has fled after taking money on the pretext of sending them to Singapore and Qatar.

The company owner had taken Rs 2.5 lakh from those interested in going to Singapore and Rs 70,000 for Qatar, they alleged.

On receiving their written complaint, Mohali SSP GS Bhullar assured the victims that action will be taken against the fraudsters.

“I have asked the police officials concerned to investigate the matter,” he said.
