The 47-year-old says he is very proud of Kajol, who also believes in family values.

“I am so proud of my wife that she believes in family values that I believe in. We live in a joint family with my parents. My children are so attached to my parents and it’s not regressive values,” he added.

The actor believes films can’t convey messages.

He says: “I feel we can’t convey messages through films but we can start a debate or you can have a topic of discussion through films.”

The actor is currently busy promoting his film Shivaay. The film has been produced and directed by Ajay. It is his second directorial venture after the 2008 romantic-drama U Me Aur Hum.

The movie marks the acting debut of Sayyeshaa Saigal, grand niece of veteran actor Dilip Kumar. Shivaay is scheduled to release on October 28.
