New Delhi: A 35-year-old woman from Meghalaya was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her rented accommodation in west Delhi''s Janakpuri area on Tuesday, police said.

A 35-year-old woman from Meghalaya was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her rented accommodation in west Delhi's Janakpuri area on Tuesday, police said.

The woman has been identified as Bahun Marbaninang, a native of Meghalaya. The matter came to light in the morning, following which her relatives were informed, said the police. 

"There were some injury marks on her knees but the cause of death has not been ascertained," said a police officer.

The police said the woman returned home during the early hours of today from a party, which was organised by her friend who is the son of the owner of a private school in the area.
