Woman found dead in bathroom

The decomposed body of a 45-year-old woman was found inside a house in Mandawali, said a police official.

A caller informed the PCR that his sister is not answering his phone calls for the past two days.

A PCR van reached the spot and found the house locked from inside and after repeated attempt by officials, no one responded. The neighbours also complaint of foul smell emanating from the house, he said.

Officials in presence of the man who called the PCR entered the house from the window and found the woman dead in bathroom.

The woman was identified as Poonam, wife of Ravi Sood. Poonam got married 17 years ago. Her husband died five years ago and since then she was living alone. She did not have any children.

The Crime Branch team found no injury marks present on the body. No foul play is suspected. 

Man held for abducting, sexually assaulting woman

A 37-year-old man was arrested for allegedly abducting a woman from Mundka, Outer Delhi, and sexually assaulting her in Haryana, a police official said Sunday.

Sonu, a native of Jhajjar, had contacted the victim on the pretext of doing her bridal make up, he said.

He abducted her from the Tikri Kalan Metro stationand took her to some unknown place in Haryana where he sexually assaulted her in his car and also threatened her of dire consequences if she revealed it to someone.
