Woman commits suicide in Burari

New Delhi, October 22

A woman, Shilpa (21), allegedly committed suicide in Burari, said police. Shilpa's parents have alleged that the girl took the the step after being disappointed by police's action.

Two brothers from the neighbourhood stepped into her house, had beaten her and attacked her with a sharp-edged weapon. When the matter was reported to the police, they didn’t act instantly. Instead, one of the brothers, Sanjay, threatened of killing Shilpa's father and brother in front of police. This stressed her and she committed suicide, the family alleged. — TNS
