Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader HS Phoolka today accused Navjot Singh Sidhu of betraying the people of Punjab by joining the Congress which he used to criticise earlier for corruption and the anti-Sikh riots of 1984.

Reacting to Sidhu’s remarks, Phoolka asked him if he is now going to raise the demand of punishment for senior Congress leaders Jagdish Tytler, Kamal Nath and Sajjan Singh for the riots within the party.

“It is shocking that Sidhu who had been saying that the Congress is corruption ki jamaat (community of corrupt) and katilon ki jamaat (community of murderers) has now joined the same party. We want to know has the Congress become less corrupt or no longer a party of murderers,” asked Phoolka addressing the media here.

Phoolka, who is going to represent the AAP in the upcoming Assembly election from Dakha constituency in Ludhiana, said Sidhu said that by offering the post of deputy chief minister to Sidhu was just being made a poster face for AAP, but how different his situation is now in Congress.
