Security official shoots self inside DRDO premises

New Delhi: A 51-year-old official posted with the Defence Security Corps, which provides security cover to Defence installations, allegedly shot himself dead inside the DRDO complex in North Delhi''s Civil Lines area on Tuesday, said the police.

The security official was identified as Hardeep Singh, a native of Punjab, they said.  PTI

Decomposed body of woman found in drain 

The decomposed body of a woman was found in a drain near Madhu Vihar area of Dwarka on Tuesday, said a police official. A passerby informed the police about the body at 12.15 pm, he said. After the police reached the spot, the body was fished out from the drain, the official said. The body has been preserved at the mortuary of Deen Dayal Upadhaya hospital  PTI

‘Mentally unstable’ man held 

A man suspected to be ‘mentally unstable’ was apprehended on Tuesday for allegedly trying to barge into the Delhi Police Headquarters at ITO without an identity card, said the police. The man, who disclosed his name as Siddharth, was apprehended and handed over to the local police at IP Estate, they said. PTI
