New Delhi, April 16

The BJP is looking for permanent solution to end the traders' crisis of sealing their establishments in non-confirming areas. Getting passed an ordinance for just one year is not solution, said Delhi unit chief of the BJP Manoj Tiwari and Union minister Vijay Goel in a joint statement.

When the Congress-led UPA was in power an ordinance for one year was passed by Parliament for giving relief to traders from sealing. But, the BJP wants permanent solution, the party leaders said.

They said there were six crore traders in India who employed 30 crores people. They raised the issue of Rashtriya Vyapari Kalyan Board. Goel had submitted a complete report of their demand to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. After going through the report, the party has assured the traders for the board and mentioned this in its manifesto.

Addressing a joint press conference, the BJP leaders said the traders have planned to thank the Prime Minister on April 19 for the proposed Rashtriya Vyapari Kalyan Board. They would organise a thanksgiving function at Talkatora Stadium where a large number of traders, including wholesale, retail and small-time businessmen, will gather.

The BJP is doing meetings at Khari Baoli, Chawari Bazar, Karol Bagh, Naraina and other traders' associations in the national capital to make the function a success.
