Issuing an acceptance letter to the officiating president of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, Harmeet Singh Kalka, the Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi) president, Paramjit Singh Sarna listed four points demanding that documentary evidence should be tabled against all allegations.

Sarna also asked Kalka to provide copies of the evidence to him a week before date of the debate so that he could study the issues.

The first point for debate in Sarna’s letter was the allegation of the SAD Badal that Sarna had disposed of the Guru Harkrishan Hospital to Manipal Health System and Radiant Life Care Private Limited, transfer of Master Tara Singh Multilevel Car Parking at Gurdwara Bangal Sahib to NDMC, financial liabilities of DSGMC, details of FDRs of Rs 1.25 crore.

Sarna asked details of DSGMC accounts from 2012-13 to till date certified by a chartered accountant.

Asking Harmeet Kalka to take permission from his party’s high command, Sukhbir Singh Badal as generally political parties disown the statement given by the leaders in individual capacity. He said that debate should be held on any independent TV channel or it should be live at Lukhy Shah Vanjara hall at Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib.

“In the absence of authorisation of the president of your party, we do not consider you to be in position to debate with the president of a party that has served the Sikh sangat for considerably long period,” Sarna said.

He said, “We feel that that Sikh sangat has also been waiting for documentary evidence to know the truth of allegations.”
