New Delhi, June 21

PWD Minister Satyendar Jain today made a surprise inspection on the Mehrauli-Badarpur Road and found accumulation of water on the stretch following construction work of a drain in the Sangam Vihar area.

Jain, joined by PWD Secretary Ashwani Kumar and MLA Parkash Jarwal, directed the department to complete the construction work within next seven days.

An official said water is accumulated on the MB Road for several days in Sangam Vihar as the department has been constructing a drain for three months.

This often leads to traffic jam especially during peak hours.

"The PWD Minister has directed officials to finish the construction work of drain within next seven days so that people won't have to face problem," the official said. — PTI
