New Delhi, May 24

Another incident of gang war reported from the Jahangirpuri last night where six men chased to a man belonging to a rival gang and indiscriminately fired at him. However, he had a narrow escape with a minor bullet injury.

The victim, Naresh (28), has been admitted to a hospital. The incident was caught in a CCTV camera where criminals can be seen chasing and shooting a man. The video shows Naresh running to save his life as a woman and a child also scamper for safety.

The criminals, unaffected by the presence of women and children, kept on firing at their target. The victim managed to enter his house.

The incident took place a few days after the Dwarka gang war, where two criminals were shot dead, one of them by a rival criminal and another by a policeman.

However, in Thursday's incident the shooting is said to be the result of a gang war, but the police said it's a dispute between friends-turned-foes.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, North West, Vijayanta Arya said the shootout is said to be the result of a previous scuffle between the injured and the assailants.

"The claim that the incident is part of a gang war is entirely false. The case is a result of a dispute between two persons. We have also identified one of the accused and he will soon be arrested, while the remaining five are yet to be identified," the DCP.
