A man was arrested yesterday for killing his 48-year-old disabled father. The incident took place at Farsh Bazar in Shahdara on Monday night.

The accused, Aman Agarwal,  further chopped his father's body into 25 pieces, said a police official.

The police have recovered the body parts in two gunny bags. Aman killed his father, Sandesh Agarwal, over property dispute.

Aman wanted to grab his father's shop in which Sandesh was operating a cyber net parlour. Sandesh was not ready to give the shop to Aman as it was the only means of his livelihood.

Sandesh's brother Rakesh said every other day Aman used to trouble his father for property. Sandesh had already given the half of the property to him, but Aman wanted the registry of the shop in his name.

Sandesh was disabled and had two sons and one daughter. Elder son Aman committed the crime when the younger son and daughter had gone to Manali on a holiday trip along with their mother.

On Monday night, an argument broke out between Sandesh and Aman, following which the latter allegedly strangled him to death.

Sandesh's two brothers live in the same vicinity and have a shop next to his shop.

Sandesh's sister and brothers alleged that Aman was eyeing for his father's shop and when his father denied his offer, he had threatened to kill him.

Aman got disappeared after the murder of his father. Then after one day, Aman called his four friends with a car and when he started sacking gunny bags of mutilated body parts of his father in the car he was caught red-handed by his other family members and informed the police.

Meanwhile, his friends fled away.
