Metro police arrest two pickpockets

NEW DELHI: Two pickpockets, who were allegedly active in Delhi Metro for a while, were arrested today. The accused were identified as Manoj Gupta (32) and Sandeep (24).

Two pickpockets, who were allegedly active in Delhi Metro for a while, were arrested today.

The accused were identified as Manoj Gupta (32) and Sandeep (24). 

A complainant told the police that three unknown persons pushed him in the crowd and stole his mobile phone from his pocket at the Kirti Nagar Metro Station. And FIR was registered and the CCTV footage was analysed. It came to for that consecutive incidents of theft took place at the station at the same time and platform on April 4-5, said DCP Mohammad (Metro, Delhi). 

The complainant was shown the CCTV footage and he identified the accused. On April 18, the police apprehended two accused at the Kirti Nagar Metro Station, said the DCP.
