NDMC announces athletics championship for the disabled

NEW DELHI:The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has decided to hold an athletics championship for the differently-abled of the national Capital.

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has decided to hold an athletics championship for the differently-abled of the national Capital. The athletics meet will be held from October 11-13 this year at Talkatora Stadium.

In this regard, the body has already invited entries from visually impaired and orthopedically challenged students in the age group of 11-14 years under junior category and 15-18 years under senior category for the athletics meet.

The Special Para Olympic Federations and organisations which have been affiliated and registered with the Sports Authority of India and the sports ministry will be involved in the event, NDMC Chairman Naresh Kumar said here.
