The body of a girl, who went missing on Friday from Alipur Village, was found in the fields near the village. There were lots of injury marks on the body, said the police.
Twenty-year-old Shilpa (name changed), a student of BA final year, had gone to the market and dint not return. The family members searched for her, but could not find her. They reported the matter to the police.
On the complaint, the police have arrested their neighbour Pradeep (25). And according to sources, last time the girl was spotted with Pradeep.
The family members alleged that the girl was gangraped and then killed.
The body has been sent for the postmortem.
