Minister pays surprise visit to offices

Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam on Tuesday paid a surprise visit to different offices of the Social Welfare Department in Rohini district. He visited the offices to keep a check on functioning of the staff and various services being provided to people.

The minister visited the premises and also met the officials and staff to check the progress of work.

He also checked the attendance of the employees. He directed them to remain available for people. He also asked the officials to ensure proper seating arrangements, clean drinking water and visitor-friendly environment in the offices. He said there were some complaints that the token system was not functioning properly. He directed the officials to make the system operational. — TNS
