A businessman and his 11-year-old son from Pune were kidnapped by a cab driver and his friends, who held them hostage for hours and also robbed them. Later, they dumped them in the Kashmiri Gate area. 

The incident happened on November 1, but came to light after 15 days. The victims had booked the cab from the New Delhi Railway Station at 11 pm for Delhi airport. As the two were settling down in the car, three to four people also got in the car and overpowered them. The car moved on Delhi roads throughout the night during which the businessman was robbed of his belongings and the robbers also withdrew cash using his ATM cards. Police sources said they suspected the dreaded Mewati gang behind it. — IANS
