New Delhi, March 29

Repeat postponements of the DSGMC's executive formation are another compelling evidence of possible collusion of state authorities with the Badal lobby, Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi) secretary general Harvinder Singh Sarna said today.

Sarna lambasted the role of the director of the Delhi Gurdwara Election for deferring the mandatory exercise of naming

office-bearers of the new committee.

"These postponements once again show the Badal lobby and the Directorate Gurdwara Election working hand in glove. How is it possible to allow multiple postponements after having a pro-tem chairman? These violations are being perpetrated because of the unholy nexus between the two sides," SAD (Delhi) secretary general observed.

Sarna regretted that the director and the Badal group together displayed their disrespect of the sacred Ardaas by pushing back the process after holding prayers in the divine presence of Guru Granth Sahib.

He said a discreet survey carried out by the SAD after the surprise results of the February DSGMC elections have suggested the poll might have been heavily rigged.

The findings of the secret survey firmly established that an overwhelming majority of Delhi's Sikhs strongly opposed the Badals because of the 2015 desecrations and for their covert alliance with the Dera Sacha Sauda head.

Subsequently, the SAD wrote to the gurdwara directorate regarding possible manipulation of the DSGMC results.
