Govt to facilitate Sikh pilgrimage to Nankana Sahib

NEW DELHI:The government today decided to extend all its support to facilitate the visit of pilgrims who wish to travel to Nankana Sahib through Kartarpur corridor.

The government today decided to extend all its support to facilitate the visit of pilgrims who wish to travel to Nankana Sahib through Kartarpur corridor. It would also open a digital exhibition on the life and teachings of Guru Nanak on the 550th birth anniversary celebration.

At a meeting today, it said it would facilitate the visit including travel cost from the city and the visa fee by Pakistan Government for pilgrims who were applying for papers to facilitate the visit, Punjabi Academy Vice-Chairman Jarnail Singh told The Tribune here. 

He said the government would open registration portal for those desiring to visit the shrine for the purpose. The government is in the process of signing an agreement with agencies concerned to build a digital museum at the Delhi Haat, Janakpuri.
