Five robbery, theft cases worked out

With the arrest of an armed criminal, the Delhi Police Crime Branch claimed to have worked out five cases of theft and robbery in Karol Bagh and Gole Market areas today.
 
The police said that they arrested Ajay Kumar from Mayur Vihar area on Thursday, after getting tipped of his presence there and recovered one improvised pistol with two live cartridges from him.
 
One snatched mobile phone and a stolen motorcycle have also been recovered from his possession, the police said.
"He has disclosed that he along with his associates had committed an armed house robbery of gold jewellery weighing about 220 gm in the area of Karol Bagh," a police officer said.
 
The police said that the accused has also confessed to his involvement in the supply of illegal weapons.
