Five arrested for Mansarovar Park murders

Five persons have been arrested for allegedly killing an octogenarian woman and her three daughters along with their security guard in their house in Mansarovar Park here in October, said a police official today.

A senior crime branch official said the accused include the son and son-in-law of the security guard, suspected to be the mastermind of the plan, and the killings were carried out with an intention to commit robbery. They killed the guard thinking he might spill the beans while police inquery.

The bodies of Urmila Jindal (82), her daughters Sangeeta Gupta (56), Nupur Jindal (48) and Anjali Jindal (38) and their security guard Rakesh (42) were found with multiple stab wounds on October 7.

During investigation and after going through the injuries inflicted upon the deceased and also from the post-mortem report, it was revealed that the murders were aware about the vital organs of the human being, which can cause death instantaneously. 

The accused were well acquainted with the fact that the family was prosperous and use to keep huge cash and jewellery in their house, said Alok Kumar, JCPolice (Crime).
