New Delhi, February 19

Seven days after a hotel fire at Karol Bagh that claimed 17 lives, Sharadindu Goel, licence holder of Arpit Palace, has been arrested, said DCP Rajesh Deo (crime beach).

Earlier today, his anticipatory bail was got dismissed from a court. He was produced at Tis Hazari Court and police sought his custody remand, he added.

The Crime Branch had arrested Rakesh Goel, one of the owners of Arpit Palace, in connection with the massive fire which killed 17 people on its premises on February 12. He was arrested from Indira Gandhi International Airport on Saturday after the police received a tip off that Goel was travelling from Qatar by Indigo flight, said the DCP.
