A 32-year-old e-rickshaw driver was beaten to death allegedly by some men after he objected to their urinating outside the GTB Nagar Metro station. Yesterday, the victim, Ravinder, saw a couple of men urinating outside the station and objected to it, police said today.

Enraged, they came back in the evening and thrashed him. Ravinder called up his family members who rushed him to a hospital where he succumbed. A case has been registered and teams have been formed to nab the accused.

"About 15 men came and started beating the man. Nobody came to help him. The man was beaten to death as the boys filled towels with stones and brutally thrashed him. They even started beating me. Somehow, I could run away from here to ask for help," said one of the e-rickshaw drivers who was an eyewitness.

According to another witness, the boys were possibly from a Delhi University college as one of the e-rickshaw drivers dropped them in front of that college in the evening.
